“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.” (vs. 17)
Another conditional promise from the Lord God Almighty (vs. 5, 6) who honors those who honor Him by standing firm in their covenant relationship. (vs. 7-9)
The Lord will “fight this battle” and you will “see the deliverance the Lord will give you,” IF you “Take up your positions; stand firm” and “Go out to face them.”
“Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord.” (vs. 18-22)
The Lord destroyed the vast army of multiple nations by causing them to turn on each other. All Judah saw the faithful hand of the Lord God Almighty, because He is who He is, and His people stood firm. His name exalted and glorified! “The fear of God came upon all the Kingdoms of the countries when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel. And… (vs. 29, 30)
The church faces a vast army, which is growing daily as we approach the “Day of the Lord.” I praise the Lord for our brothers and sisters who defy godless governments and illegally worship their Savior. Illegally own a copy of God’s Holy Word. It is illegal for the “persecuted church” to exist, but by God’s grace it thrives!
satan loves godless governments and the godless people who rule them. Clearly in our day many godless people have come to positions of power, whether legitimate or illegitimate. All publically proclaim the same oath of office, which in part reads: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; etc. … So help me God.” Just a gentle reminder, satan has children and they have their Father’s tongue. (John 8: 42-47) Probably the only thing satan hates more than the church is when believers defy his rule and worship their God.

The army against the Lord and His church is vast. Fascist, Communist, Socialist, Secular Humanist and every institution in our country has been infiltrated. Government, Education, Social Services and even the apostate church. The questions is will the Church stand firm and see their deliverance or will we roll over and submit to the ungodly rule of the godless?
“Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 chronicles 20:15b

After returning from a lengthy mission trip overseas, John Huffman and his fellow passengers were held up in customs for two hours. When he finally made it to the packed airport lobby, Huffman realized it might take a while to find his family. But suddenly his 3-year-old daughter ran toward him yelling, “Daddy! Daddy! That’s my daddy!” and launched into his arms.
“What a welcome,” he writes. “I have never felt so loved and acknowledged in my life.” Perhaps that’s how God feels when we call on his name in worship and prayer, acknowledging him as our heavenly Father — and honoring him above all else.
